Steel Angle Bar
Hot rolled angle steel, commonly known as angle iron, is a long strip of carbon structural steel with two sides perpendicular to each other, forming an L-shaped cross section. It is one of the most widely used structural steel profiles, valued for its simple shape, excellent weldability, good plastic deformation performance, and reliable mechanical strength. Manufactured from low-carbon steel billets through a hot rolling process, our angle steel is available in two main types: Equal Angle (both legs equal in width and thickness) and Unequal Angle (legs of different widths).

Steel Angle Bar Specifications:
Equal angles typically range from 20×20mm up to 200×200mm, while unequal angles range from 25×16mm to 200×125mm, with thicknesses from 3mm to 24mm and standard lengths of 6m, 9m, or 12m. Our hot rolled angle steel is manufactured in compliance with major international standards including ASTM A36, EN 10025 (S235JR / S355JR), JIS G3192 (SS400 / SS540), and GB/T 706 (Q235B / Q355B).

Our hot rolled angle steel is manufactured through a well-established production process that ensures consistent quality and precise dimensions. The process begins with high-quality steel billets (typically Q235 or Q355 grade), which are first heated to approximately 1200°C in a continuous reheating furnace until they reach a uniform temperature suitable for rolling. The heated billets are then passed through a series of roughing and finishing rolling mills. During the roughing stage, the billet is gradually reduced in cross-section and shaped into the basic angle profile. In the finishing stage, precision rolls further shape the steel into the final equal or unequal angle dimensions with tight tolerances. After rolling, the angle steel is cooled on a cooling bed to room temperature, then straightened using a straightening machine to ensure perfect flatness and straightness. Finally, the finished product is cut to standard lengths (typically 6m, 9m, or 12m) by a flying shear, and undergoes rigorous quality inspection including dimensional checks, surface inspection, and mechanical property testing before bundling and warehousing.

Our hot rolled angle steel is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives at your job site in perfect condition. Angle steel is stacked in bundles according to size and length, typically weighing 2-3 tons per bundle for easy handling and container loading. Wooden strips or steel bars are placed between layers to separate the pieces and prevent surface scratches and friction damage during transit. High-strength steel strapping is used to secure the bundles tightly, ensuring stability during lifting and transportation. For added protection, plastic end caps are fitted to protect the edges and corners from impact. Each bundle is wrapped with waterproof cloth or moisture-proof paper to provide protection against humidity and salt spray during ocean shipping. Clear labels are attached to each bundle indicating product specifications, grade, quantity, and handling instructions. All packaging materials comply with ISPM 15 international standards for export shipments. Container loading is carefully planned to maximize space utilization – a standard 20-foot container can typically load approximately 25-30 tons of angle steel depending on sizes and stacking methods. We also offer customized packaging solutions to meet specific project requirements.
Hot rolled angle steel is one of the most versatile structural steel profiles, widely used across construction, engineering, and manufacturing industries. In building and civil engineering, angle steel is used for roof trusses, support beams, structural frameworks, floor girders, and reinforcement members. In bridge construction, it serves as cross bracing, stiffeners, and connection components. In the power and telecommunications sectors, angle steel is the primary material for transmission towers, communication masts, and substation structures.
In machinery manufacturing and equipment fabrication, angle steel is used for frames, conveyor supports, brackets, and mounting bases. In shipbuilding and marine engineering, it is used for hull stiffening and internal frameworks. In the transportation and logistics industry, angle steel is widely used in warehouse racks, shelving systems, container frames, pallet supports, and truck trailer frames. Additionally, angle steel is commonly found in solar panel mounting structures, agricultural greenhouse frames, and industrial platforms. With its high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent weldability, easy formability, and cost-effectiveness, hot rolled angle steel is an essential material for a wide range of applications from heavy structural support to general fabrication and maintenance projects.
