Seamless Steel Pipe
Seamless steel pipe is a tubular product manufactured without any welded seam. It is produced by piercing a solid round steel billet and then rolling, stretching, and sizing it to the required dimensions. The absence of a weld seam gives the pipe a uniform structure and superior strength, making it highly reliable under high pressure, high temperature, and corrosive conditions. Seamless pipes are widely recognized for their excellent mechanical properties, dimensional accuracy, and resistance to internal and external pressure. They are the preferred choice for critical applications where weld integrity is a concern.
Our seamless steel pipes are available in a broad range of sizes and grades to meet various project requirements. The table below outlines the typical specifications:

The production of seamless steel pipe involves a series of carefully controlled hot working processes. It begins with a solid round steel billet, which is heated to approximately 1050-1300°C in a rotary hearth furnace. The heated billet is then pierced using a rotary piercing mill to form a hollow shell. This shell is subsequently elongated and reduced in wall thickness through a series of rolling processes (such as the Mannesmann plug mill or continuous rolling mill), followed by sizing and straightening. The pipe is then cut to the specified length. Depending on the required application, the pipe may undergo additional heat treatment, such as normalizing or quenching and tempering, to achieve the desired mechanical properties. Rigorous non-destructive testing, including ultrasonic and eddy current inspection, ensures the integrity and quality of every pipe.

Seamless steel pipes are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive at the destination in perfect condition. For small to medium diameters, pipes are bundled with high-strength steel strapping, with wooden spacers or plastic caps placed between layers and at pipe ends to prevent surface scratches, thread damage, and debris ingress. Bundles are wrapped with waterproof cloth or shrink film to provide moisture protection during ocean shipping. For large diameters, individual pipes are often shipped loose, secured with steel chocks and wedges in containers or on flat racks. All packaging materials comply with ISPM 15 export standards. Container loading is carefully planned – bundles are arranged in 20ft or 40ft containers, securely braced with wooden blocks to prevent shifting. For bulk orders, vessel shipping is also available.
Seamless steel pipes are essential components across a wide range of industries due to their strength and reliability.
- Oil and Gas Industry: Used for exploration, production, transmission pipelines, and casing.
- Petrochemical Industry: Used for refinery piping, heat exchangers, and chemical processing equipment.
- Power Generation: Used for boiler tubes, superheaters, and high-pressure steam lines.
- Mechanical Engineering: Used for hydraulic cylinders, bearing applications, and structural components.
- Automotive Industry: Used for precision components such as axle tubes and drive shafts.
- Construction: Used for structural supports and piling in high-rise buildings and bridges.
