Scaffolding Steel Prop
The scaffolding steel prop, also known as an adjustable telescopic steel prop or shoring prop, is an essential temporary support device widely used in construction, formwork support, concrete slab and beam shoring, as well as bridge and industrial building projects. Consisting of an inner tube and an outer tube with a threaded adjustment mechanism, this steel prop allows for quick and precise height adjustment to accommodate various floor-to-ceiling heights and load requirements. Manufactured from high-quality steel grades such as Q195, Q235, or Q345, these props are available with surface treatments including powder coating, painting, pre-galvanizing, and hot-dip galvanizing for enhanced corrosion resistance and durability.

Steel Prop Specifications:
Available in several standard types to suit different regional preferences and load-bearing needs, the most common configurations include the Italian Type, the German / Middle East Type, and the Spanish Type. The Italian Type, also known as light-duty prop, typically features an inner tube of 48mm and an outer tube of 56mm, with an adjustable length ranging from 1.6m to 4.0m and wall thickness between 1.5mm and 2.75mm. The German or Middle East Type is designed for heavy-duty applications, with a larger outer tube of 60mm and an inner tube of 48mm, offering adjustable lengths from 1.8m up to 5.5m and wall thickness from 1.5mm to 4.0mm, making it ideal for demanding construction environments. The Spanish Type, a lighter option, uses a 40mm inner tube and a 48mm outer tube, suitable for lighter load conditions

Our scaffolding steel props are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive at your job site in perfect condition, ready for immediate use. The most common packaging method is bundle packing, where 50 to 60 pieces of steel props are grouped together and tightly secured with high-strength steel strips or iron bars. For customers who prefer alternative solutions, we also offer pallet packing using wooden or steel pallets, as well as bulk loading for maximum container utilization. All packaging methods can be customized according to specific customer requirements.
To provide additional protection during ocean transit, each bundle is wrapped with waterproof shrinking film and craft paper, creating a moisture barrier that prevents rust and corrosion. For props with painted or powder-coated surfaces, this extra layer of protection is particularly important to maintain the finish and ensure long-lasting durability. Depending on the surface treatment selected – whether painted, powder coated, pre-galvanized, or hot-dip galvanized – we apply appropriate protective measures to safeguard the coating during handling and shipping.
Container loading is optimized to achieve the best balance between cost efficiency and cargo safety. A standard 20-foot container can typically accommodate 1,500 to 2,500 pieces of steel props, depending on the specific sizes and lengths. For example, a 20-foot container can load approximately 1,680 pieces when packed in bundles, while bulk loading can fit up to 2,500 pieces for smaller sizes. All loading plans are carefully calculated to ensure stable stacking and safe transport, whether by container or bulk vessel. We are flexible in meeting your packaging and shipping needs – just let us know your requirements, and we will provide the most suitable solution.

Scaffolding steel props are indispensable temporary support devices widely used in construction and civil engineering projects. Their primary function is to provide reliable vertical support for formwork systems during concrete pouring, ensuring that floors, beams, and slabs are cast accurately and safely. Steel props are also extensively employed in bridge construction, tunnel shoring, and infrastructure projects where heavy loads need to be temporarily supported during the curing process. With adjustable height mechanisms, these props can be easily adapted to different floor-to-ceiling heights, making them suitable for residential buildings, commercial complexes, warehouses, and industrial facilities. Additionally, they are commonly used in renovation and repair work, providing stable support for existing structures during reinforcement or modification. Whether for new construction or maintenance projects, steel props offer the strength, reliability, and flexibility that contractors need to complete their work efficiently and safely.
